History
Zaremba Management Company develops and manages residential and commercial real estate.
Zaremba had its start in 1921 when Alex Zaremba arrived in Cleveland from Poland and started a home remodeling firm. After World War I, the Zaremba family built over 6,000 brick bungalows for returning veterans.
Walter A. Zaremba continued in his father’s footsteps by developing quality homes and commercial properties. Walter A. Zaremba’s three sons, Walter, Nathan, and Timothy all carry on the family tradition today with their involvement in various real estate and commercial properties.
Reflective of the Company’s deeply rooted corporate philosophy, Zaremba owns, either wholly or in part, most of the income-producing properties which it develops. Years ago, Zaremba decided to protect these investments and to realize maximum long-term appreciation in equity and income, it would directly manage its properties. In recent years, Zaremba Management has grown its portfolio with fee-managed communities.
Those management activities today are carried on by Zaremba Management Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zaremba Company.
In all cases, the guiding philosophy is the same - asset performance and appreciation depend heavily on the skill and effectiveness of the management organization. Physical maintenance, capital improvements, competitive pricing, good tenant-landlord relations, careful monitoring and reporting of financial performance and other considerations explain Zaremba’s demonstrated success in achieving income performance and returns on equity consistently above industry standards.
